Location: Germany
Overview

The project was tailored to the specific requirements of a materials manufacturer. The focus was on showcasing an exceptionally wide variety of materials within a contemporary, architecturally clean spatial concept. Over 200 different materials, finishes and design variants were harmonised both aesthetically and technically and integrated into a calm, high-quality overall aesthetic.

The interior design employs intricate geometries, precise lines and clearly defined surfaces. This creates a space that showcases the range of materials without appearing cluttered. Materiality, construction and design language combine to form a prestigious brand space with a strong visual impact.

THE RESULT

Formatio was responsible for the technical development of the interior design specifications, as well as the manufacture and installation of the bespoke fittings and special components. These included, in particular, wall and ceiling cladding, built-in fixtures, special surfaces and geometrically complex cladding elements.

Particular focus was placed on coordinating over 200 materials and finishes, precisely aligning joint patterns, edges and transitions, and accurately realising the complex geometries. The various material variants had to be seamlessly integrated structurally, expertly managed in terms of manufacturing, and fitted on-site with perfect precision.

The result is a contemporary interior design that showcases the material manufacturer's expertise and combines the diversity of the materials used with technical precision, clear geometry and high-quality craftsmanship.
